We have achieved all-Ɵ me highs
in permit issuance revenue and construcƟ on valuaƟ on. We conƟ nue to develop permit processes accommodaƟ ng developers and
contractors of all sizes, using all available technologies.
We issued 12,350 permits, performed 16,502 inspecƟ ons, and traveled 114,719 miles in serving
the residents of St. Joseph County and the City of South Bend. Addi Ɵ onally, we performed 269 Plan
Reviews and processed our measured building permits in an amazing average of 2 minutes and 56
seconds.
CerƟ fi caƟ on is a measure of quality and professionalism in the building industry. Our inspectors and
administraƟ ve staff are acƟ ve in conƟ nuing educaƟ on and have obtained new and renewed cer Ɵ -
fi caƟ ons in a conƟ nuing eff ort to become cross trained in all code disciplines.
