REGULAR MEETING O�TOB>r13_1_0� =1988 A public hearing was held on the resolution at this time. Council Member Luecke indicated the Human Resources Committee met on this resolution and recommended it to the Council favorably. Council Member Luecke made a motion to amend the bill by renumbering Section VI to VII and inserting Section VI to read: "The Common Council hereby determines that the property owner is qualified for and is granted personal property tax deduction for a period of five (5) years. ", seconded by Council Member Coleman. The motion carried. Richard Peddycord, attorney, made the presentation for resolution. He indicated this abatement was for personal property that will be used in the newly constructed facility at 2750 Foundation Drive. Council Member Luecke made a motion to adopt this resolution, as amended, seconded by Council Member Coleman. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of eight ayes. 88 -76 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 400 WEST SAMPLE STREET, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF REAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR SOUTH BEND LATHE, INC. 88 -77 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 400 WEST SAMPLE STREET, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF A FIVE (5) YEAR PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR SOUTH BEND LATHE, INC. Council Member Luecke made a motion to continue public hearing on these bills until October 24, 1988, seconded by Council Member Niezgodski. The motion carried. Council Member Coleman made a motion to set this bill for second reading and public hearing October 24, and refer it to the Human Resources Committee, seconded by Council Member Luecke. The motion carried. BILL NO. 88 -88 A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2210 WILSON ST., IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. This bill had first reading. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to refer this bill to Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Coleman. The motion carried. BILL NO. 89 -88 A BILL VACATE THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY; THE FIRST 14 FOOT WIDE EAST -WEST ALLEY NORTH OF COLFAX AVE., WEST FROM BRIDGE STREET (VACATED) FOR A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 66 FEET. ALL BEING IN A PART OF THE ORIGINAL PLAT OF THE TOWN OF LOWELL, NOW A PART OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. This bill had first reading. Council Member Coleman made a motion to set this bill for second reading and public hearing October 24, and refer it to the Zoning and Vacation Committee, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried.
