BILL NO. 122 -87 A BILL APPROPRIATING $125,000.00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND INTO FUND 38 DEPARTMENT 30 ACCT. #399 OTHER CONTRACTUALS OF THE BUREAU OF WASTEWATER. BILL NO. 123 -87 A BILL APPROPRIATING $47,000.00 FROM CUMULATIVE SEWER BUILDING AND SINKING FUND INTO FUND 38 DEPARTMENT 33, ACCT. #399 OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SANITATION. This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. John Leszczynski, City Engineer, made the presentation for the bills. He indicated the appropriations would cover expenses for the repair of the Bowman Creek bridge at Fox and St. Joseph streets, and the Riverside Drive sewer project. Joseph Guentert, 3610 Corby, asked if this fund is going to be available in the future, and if there are funds available they should be used for the Waste Water Treatment Plant. John Leszczynski indicated there was $250,000 left in the fund, and this money cannot be used for the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Council Member Beck made a motion to recommend Bill No. 122 -87 to the Council favorably, seconded by Council Member Barcome. The motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Council Member Taylor made a motion to rise and report to the Council, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. BILLS, SECOND READING ORDINANCE NO. 7820 -87 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED THREE HUNDRED FEET SOUTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF IRONWOOD ROAD AND FARNSWORTH DRIVE, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. Council Member Taylor made a motion to pass this bill, seconded by Council Member Voorde. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes. ORDINANCE NO. 7822 -87 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $17,500.00 FROM FUND #288 EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND TO DEFRAY EMS RELATED EXPENSES. This bill had second reading. Council Member Braboy made a motion to pass this bill, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The bill passed by a roll call vote of nine ayes. ORDINANCE NO. 7823 -87 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $80,000 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. This bill had second reading.
