w� <br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 13, 1987 <br />WHEREAS, all General Obligation outstanding debt has now been retired; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council now desires to transfer surplus monies in said General <br />Obligation Debt Fund of the City of South Bend. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA: <br />SECTION I. That the sum of $8,213.78, being the amount of monies remaining in <br />the Bond Proceeds of 181 Fund, is hereby transferred from said fund to the General <br />Obligation Debt Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />SECTION II. That the sum of $34,180.50 being the current unused and <br />unencumbered balance of $25,966.72 plus the amount of $8,213.78 being transferred <br />from the Bond Proceeds of '81 Fund to the General Obligation Debt Fund, is hereby <br />transferred from said General Obligation Debt Fund of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana to the General Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />SECTION III. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />its adoption by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />s /Joseph T. Michael Vance, <br />Controller, indicated State law allows the City to transfer the unused monies in a <br />fund that has fulfilled its purpose. He indicated that both of these funds are <br />related to the bonds of 181 for purchase of miscellaneous equipment and materials. <br />He indicated they were asking for the transfer of the balance of the proceeds not <br />spent to the General Obligation Debt Fund. Council Member Taylor made a motion to <br />adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 57 -87 A BILL AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (THE "CITY "), <br />TO ISSUE ITS "ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BOND, SERIES 1987 <br />(KOKOKU WIRE INDUSTRIES CORPORATION PROJECT), IN THE AGGREGATE <br />PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF THREE MILLION TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($3,200,000.00) AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING CERTAIN ACTIONS <br />WITH RESPECT THERETO. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Barcome made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing July 13, 1987, seconded by Council Member <br />Paszek. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 58 -87 A BILL APPROPRIATING $108,927.74 FROM THE ZOO ENDOWMENT FUND, <br />ACCOUNT NUMBER 403 TO ACCOUNT 399.0 CONTRACTUAL SERVICES, SAID <br />ACCOUNT BEING WITHIN THE GENERAL PARK FUND. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Barcome motion to set this bill for <br />second reading and public hearing July 13,1987, and refer it to the Parks Committee, <br />seconded by Council Member Paszek. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 59 -87 A BILL APPROPRIATING $115,478.00 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN <br />THE DIVISION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing July 13, 1987, and refer it to the Human <br />Resources Committee, seconded by Council Member Barcome. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 60 -87 A BILL APPROPRIATING $66,000.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT <br />FUND COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST <br />FUND TO ACCOUNT 4399.0 OTHER CONTRACTUALS TO PAY THE 1987 PLEDGE <br />TO PROJECT FUTURE BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Braboy made a motion to set this bill <br />for second reading and public hearing July 13, 1987, and refer it to the Personnel <br />and Finance Committee, seconded by Council Member Barcome.
