Ernest Szarwark, attorney, <br />indicated that Allied prod»cts is a diversified corporation which owns two divisi.ona <br />in the Ci +y: the first is the South Bend Stamping Division, and the second is znc <br />White Farm Eauipment Divisi -n. He indicated the aLatements are for the stamping <br />division. He indicated that Allied proposes to spend approximately $375,000 to <br />renovate the building and the parking area, and $1,095,000 to upgrade the equipment. <br />He indicated the stamping division is facing mounting competition not only from <br />domestic producers but from Japanese producers. He indicated this project will save <br />approximately 30 existing jobs. Council Member Taylor made a motion to adopt <br />Resolution No. 1517 -87, seconded by Council Member Barcome. The resolution was <br />adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to <br />adopt Resolution No. 1518 -87, seconded by Council Member Barcome.
