The l t <br />motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 29-87 A BILL <br />LIOF THE <br />T COMMON COUNCIL CILOF MAT FUND, OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Chief Luther Taylor made the <br />presentation for the bill. He indicated this fund was being established in order to <br />receive monies generated by the response to hazardous materials incidents and that <br />such monies be used to defray expenses related to Haz -Mat activities. Council <br />Member Beck made a motion to recommend this bill to the Council favorably, seconded <br />by Council Member Braboy. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 30'87 APPROPRIATING <br />FROM THE EMERGENCY <br />EXPENSES. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Chief Luther Taylor made the <br />presentation for the bill. He indicated this appropriation would be used to remodel <br />the kitchen at Station #7, and the lease purchase payment on Quint #10. Council <br />Member Serge made a motion to recommend this bill to the Council favorably, <br />seconded by Council Member Barcome. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 31 -87 A BILL AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />ENTITLED "BUILDINGS ". <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Patricia DeClercq, Director of <br />Code Enforcement, made the presentation for the bill. She indicated this bill will <br />update the Code to conform with the most current state and national codes with <br />references to buildings. Council Member Serge made a motion to recommend this bill <br />to the Council favorably, seconded by Council Member Taylor.
