REGULAR MEETING_ MAY 11,1987 <br />BILL NO. 47 -87 A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />SOUTHEAST SIDE OF SOUTH BEND AVENUE (INDIANA ROUTE 23), BEGINNING <br />APPROXIMATELY 235 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF <br />EDISON ROAD AND SOUTH BEND AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA. <br />This bill had first reading. Council Member Beck made a motion to refer the bill to <br />Area Plan, seconded by Council Member Braboy. The motion carried. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1493 -87 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND RECOMMENDING THAT COUNCIL APPROVAL BE SOUGHT ON <br />ALL MATTERS INVOLVING PRIVATIZATION (POCKET VETOED BY <br />THE MAYOR.) <br />Council Member Voorde made a motion to override the pocket veto, seconded by Council <br />Member Zakrzewski. The motion carried on a roll call vote of eight ayes and one nay <br />(Council Member Beck.) <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />Wayne Wirts, 1889 Riverside Dr., spoke regarding the primarily election, and the <br />proposed satellite ordinance. <br />Joseph Guentert, 3510 Corby, spoke regarding removing Mayor Roger Parent from <br />office. <br />Craig Hartzer, Deputy Mayor, indicated that removing the Mayor from office was <br />ludicrous. <br />Ken Donnelly, 2605 Frederickson, spoke regarding the stadium. <br />Irene Mutzl, 320 Parkovash, President of Fair Tax, asked if the Council had received <br />a progress report from the Waste Water Treatment Plant. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, <br />Council Member Taylor made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Barcome. <br />The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />'City Clerk <br />APPROVED: <br />resi dent <br />s <br />
