6 REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 8, lyyU A public hearing was held on the resolution at this time. Steve White, Auditor Department of Administration and Finance made the presentation on the bill. He indicated that the resolution would allow the Controller or its designee to authorize investments of excess funds for the fiscal year 1990 electronically. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Niezgodski. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of eight ayes. RESOLUTION 1762 -90 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY TRANSFER OF IDLE FUNDS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FROM VARIOUS FUNDS TO THE VARIOUS FUNDS WITHIN THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. A public hearing was held on the resolution at this time. John Leisenring, Deputy Controller made the presentation on the bill. He indicated that the resolution would authorize the temporary transfer of idle funds between the various funds within the City budget. He stated that the amounts are based on preliminary cash flow statements from the various departments. Council Member Coleman made a motion to adopt this resolution, seconded by Council Member Duda. The resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of eight ayes. BILLS, FIRST READING UNIFINISHED BUSINESS Reports from Area Plan: Bill No. 140 -87 - Chapter 21 of the South Bend Municipal Code entitled "Zoning" Bill No. 96 -89 - Rezone - S.E. Corner Ireland Rd. & Miami Bill No. 97 -89 - Rezone - 2411 S. Main St. Council Member Slavinskas made a motion to set the above mentioned bills for second reading and public hearing on January 22, 1990, seconded by Council Member Coleman. The motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Council, unfinished or new, Council Member Soderberg made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Council Member Coleman.
