City of South Bend, IN — Department of Public Works , <br />J ' VER EGY' <br />GESC: Central Fire Station & MLK Dream Center Solar PV 04 <br />• Ensure procurement packages are structured to address minority -owned business concerns and <br />enable those businesses to participate to the maximum extent possible. <br />• Assure the inclusion of SBES and related business concerns in all solicitations for products or <br />services for which they can provide. <br />• Review solicitations to remove statements or clauses that may tend to restrict or prohibit SBES <br />or related business participation. <br />• Manage engagement of sourcing efforts to ensure sourcing teams actively seek the involvement <br />of small, diverse, and local suppliers in their outsourcing efforts. <br />• Participate in outreach activities and events to identify diverse suppliers and vendors. <br />• Work with local advocacy organizations to find and promote the use of small businesses. <br />• Ensure collaboration with external resources, vendors, suppliers, and customers to develop small <br />business solutions. <br />COMMUNICATION LINES AND PROJECT MEETINGS <br />Mandatory project progress meetings will be held regularly throughout the project. Progress meetings <br />are essential in identifying and solving problems and conflicts and are imperative to keeping the project <br />plan current. Meeting minutes will be drafted and circulated after each meeting to ensure all stakeholders <br />are informed of project progress and issues.
