Pursuant to Section 2-10(i) of the South Bend Municipal Code, <br /> this report sets forth a summary of the key activities conducted by the Personnel and Finance Committee <br /> for the 2024 year. <br /> Duties: Per South Bend Municipal Code,the Personnel and Finance Committee is charged with <br /> the following duties: <br /> "Oversees the activities performed by the Department of Administration and Finance, and <br /> reviews all proposed salaries,budgets,appropriations, and other fiscal matters,as well as <br /> personnel policies, health benefits and related Matters." <br /> Members: Seven(7)Committee Members served on the Committee for the year.They included: <br /> 1. Councilmember District 6, Sheila Niezgodski,Chairperson <br /> 2. Councilmember District 4,Troy Warner, Vice-Chairperson <br /> 3. Councilmember District 1, Canneth Lee,Member <br /> 4. Councilmember At-Large,Karen White,Member <br /> 5. Councilmember At-large,Rachel Tomas Morgan,Member <br /> 6. Angela Smith,Citizen Member <br /> 7. Ross Deal, Citizen Member <br /> Committee Meeting: The Personnel&Finance Committee held twelve(12)regular meetings <br /> and nine(9) City Budget meetings in 2024. <br /> January 22,2024: Organizational Meeting <br /> The Personnel and Finance Committee held its organizational meeting on January 22, 2024. A review of <br /> the committee's duties and responsibilities was discussed as well as reviewing the Annual Report of the <br /> previous year.
