Council Member Kelly, <br />reported that the Community and Economic Development Committee had met on this bill <br />and recommended it to the Council favorable. Pam Meyer, Community and Economic <br />Development, made the presentation for the resolution. She indicated they were <br />seeking an Enterprise Community designation to be eligible for social and economic <br />revitalization programs. Council Member Coleman made a motion to amend the <br />resolution in Section III, after the word funded delete " under this resolution and <br />add "through the City of South Bend "; and Section V change the word <br />"administrating" to "coordinating; change the period to a comma after office and <br />add "and further agrees to advise the Common Council of any not - for - profit agency <br />receiving grant funds. ", seconded by Council Member Washington. The motion <br />carried. Council Member Coleman made a motion to adopt the resolution, as amended, <br />seconded by Council Member Washington. The motion carried. <br />PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR <br />Joyce Boaler, spoke regarding an article in the TRIBUNE that blamed the proponents <br />for delaying the approval process for the Hall of Fame, thereby, raising he cost <br />of the project due to increased interest rates. <br />Linda Petill, 56121 Brick Rd., Osceola, also spoke against the article in the <br />tribune regarding the financing for the Hall of Fame. <br />Dave Varner, 1306 Clayton, regarding the cost to taxpayers for both Coveleski and <br />the Hall of Fame. <br />
