KERNAN DATE: JANUARY 17, 1994 <br />MAYOR, CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />FROM: MARY HALL MUELLER <br />ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY <br />RE: SALE OF VACANT .LOT OWNED BY CITY <br />-- 1118 BURNS STREET <br />Please find attached a Quit -Claim Deed and a copy of a <br />fully executed Purchase Agreement for the sale of one parcel of <br />vacant City -owned property to Peter Hauser. (As you probably <br />know, Peter is one of our Code Enforcement Inspectors and is the <br />adjacent property owner to the lot in question.) <br />All bidding procedures have been followed, and the bid <br />from Peter was the only one received. Although the sale price of <br />$50.00 is $700.00 less than the appraised value, the Board took <br />into consideration in accepting the bid that the prospective <br />purchaser has been caring for the land for an extended period of <br />time and has agreed to replace the side walk in front of the <br />property at his expense. <br />Please execute the original deed and forward these <br />documents to Irene Gammon to attest.
