REGULAR MEETING IJUNE-la 1998 <br />Property Tax Abatement to be published pursuant to Indiana Code <br />5 -3 -1 and Indiana Code 6- 1.1- 12.1 -2.5, said publication providing <br />notice of the public hearing before the Common Council on the <br />proposed confirming of said declaration. <br />SECTION VIII. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />Js/ Sean Coleman <br />Member of the Common Council <br />A public hearing was held on the resolution at this time. <br />Council Member Kelly reported that the Community and Economic <br />Development Committee had met on this bill and recommended it to <br />the Council favorable. Bob Wozny, 51500 Straton Ct., made the <br />presentation for the resolution. He reported they were in the <br />business of creating and printing mailing lists and labels; laser <br />printing of letters, certificates and surveys; custom packaging <br />and assembly; and warehousing and distribution. He advised they <br />planned to construct a new building in order to expand the <br />business, which will continue to allow them to be more <br />competitive. Council Member Aranowski made a motion to adopt <br />this resolution, seconded by Council Member Varner. The <br />resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine ayes. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2630 -98 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DESIGNATING <br />CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1108 S. <br />HIGH STREET AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION <br />AREA FOR PURPOSES OF A FIVE (5) YEAR <br />PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR <br />SYSCON INTERNATIONAL, INC <br />WHEREAS, a petition for personal property tax abatement <br />consideration has been filed with the Common Council of the City <br />of South Bend, requesting that the area commonly known as 1108 S. <br />High Street, South Bend, Indiana, and which is more particularly <br />described as follows: <br />PARCEL I: A part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 13, Township <br />37 North, Range 2 East, in the City of South Bend, Indiana, which <br />part is bounded by a line running as follows, viz: Beginning at a <br />point where the East line of High Street in Martin L. Wenger's <br />Third Addition to the City of South Bend intersects the South <br />boundary line of the right -of -way of the New York Central Railway <br />Company (formerly the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway <br />Company); thence running due South on the East line of High <br />Street (312.36) feet; thence North (89) degrees (38) minutes East <br />(96.75) feet; thence North parallel to the East line of High <br />Street (7) feet (3 -1/2) inches; thence North (89) degrees (38) <br />minutes East a distance of (110.16) feet to the Westerly line of <br />a wall; thence North (42) feet along the Westerly line of said <br />wall; thence West (0.9) feet along the South line of a wall; <br />thence North (83.3) feet along the West line of a wall; thence <br />East (0.9) feet along the North line of a wall; thence North <br />along West line of a wall and its projection to the Northeasterly <br />boundary (25.37) feet and which point is (209.35) feet due East <br />of the East line of High Street; thence Northwesterly (158.92) <br />feet to a point on the South boundary line of the New York <br />Central Railroad Company; thence Northwesterly along said South <br />Boundary (99.86) feet, more or less, to the place of beginning. <br />Also, a permanent nonexclusive easement for egress and ingress <br />described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of <br />High Street which is (312.36) feet South of the intersection of <br />the East line of High Street and the Southerly right -of -way line <br />of the New York Central Railroad in the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana; thence North (89) degrees and (38) minutes East, a <br />
