REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 11, 1998 <br />of Jackson Street to the West line of Lot 48 in College Grove <br />Addition extended North; also the vacated alley lying West and <br />adjacent to Lots 1, 2, 3 and 5 Hosinski's Subdivision. <br />PARCEL V <br />An easement from ingress and egress in, upon and over the <br />following described real estate: beginning at a point 4 h feet <br />West of the Northeast corner of Lot 30 in College Grove Addition; <br />thence North on a line parallel to the East line of Lot 30 a <br />distance of 10.00 feet; thence East on a line parallel with the <br />North lines of Lot 29 and 30 a distance of 105.00 feet; thence <br />South on a line parallel to the West lot line of Lot 29 a <br />distance of 10.00 feet to a point on the North line of Lot 29, <br />said point being 37.00 feet East of the Northwest corner of Lot <br />29; thence West on and along the North line of Lot 29, extended <br />across vacated Johnson Street, and the North line of Lot 30, a <br />distance of 105.00 feet to the point of beginning. <br />and which has Key Number 18- 2003 -0032, 18- 2020 -0590, 18 -2020- <br />0592, 18- 2020 -0596, 18- 2020 -0599, 18- 2020 -0591, 18- 2020 -0602, 18- <br />2020 -0605, 18- 2020 - 0.608, 18- 2020 -0611, 18- 2020 -0618, 18 -2020- <br />0619, 18- 2020 -0620, as an Economic Revitalization Area, and <br />Whereas, notice of the adoption of a Declaratory Resolution and <br />the public hearing before the Council has been published pursuant <br />to Indiana Code 6 -1.1- 12.1 -25; and <br />Whereas, the Council held a public hearing for the purpose of <br />hearing all remonstrances and objections from interested persons; <br />and <br />Whereas, the Council has determined that the qualifications for <br />an economic revitalization area have been met. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br />SECTION I. The Common Council hereby confirms its Declaratory <br />Resolution designating the area described herein as an Economic <br />Revitalization Area for the purposes of tax abatement. Such <br />designation is for Personal property tax abatement only and is <br />limited to two (2) calendar years from the date of adoption of <br />the Declaratory Resolution by the Common Council. <br />SECTION II. The Common Council hereby determines that the <br />property owner is qualified for and is granted Personal property <br />tax deduction for a period of FIVE (5) years, and further <br />determines that the petition complies with Chapter 2, Article 6, <br />of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend and Indiana Code <br />6 -1.1 -12.1 et seq. <br />SECTION III. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after its adoption by the Common Council and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />/s/ Sean Coleman <br />Member of the Common Council <br />A public hearing was held on the resolution at this time. Jim <br />Elgin, vice president, 2001 W. Washington made the presentation <br />for the resolution. He reported they currently have 115 <br />employees, and when this two phase project is completed they will <br />add six new employees. Council Member Hosinski made a motion to <br />adopt the resolution, seconded by Council Member Sniadecki.
