Pursuant to Indiana Code 6 -1.1- 12.1 -2, the rehabilitation must meet all <br />local code standards for habitability as a specific condition of having such property be designated <br />as a residentially distressed area. <br />SECTION X. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adopted <br />by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />s /Sean Coleman <br />Member of the Common Council <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. <br />Councilmember Kelly reported that the Community and Economic Development Committee met <br />on this bill and recommends it to the Council favorably. <br />Mr. Michael E. Urbanski, Garden Homes, 17874 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana, informed <br />the Council that he was present representing Ms. Rebecca Harris. Mr. Urbanski noted that <br />Garden Homes will be building three (3) new houses in the City, one (1) of which is for Rebecca <br />Harris. <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in opposition to <br />this Resolution, Councilmember King made a motion to adopt this Resolution.
