REGULAR MEETING APRIL 12, 1999 notice of the public hearing before the Common Council on the proposed confirming of said declaration. SECTION IX. Pursuant to Indiana Code 6 -1.1- 12.1 -2, the rehabilitation must meet all local code standards for habitability as a specific condition of having such property be designated as a residentially distressed area. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adopted by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor. s /Sean Coleman Member of the Common Council A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. Councilmember Kelly reported that the Community and Economic Development Committee met on this bill and recommends it to the Council favorably. Mr. Michael E. Urbanski, Garden Homes, 17874 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana, informed the Council that he was present representing Ms. Rebecca Harris. Mr. Urbanski noted that Garden Homes will be building three (3) new houses in the City, one (1) of which is for Rebecca Harris. There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in opposition to this Resolution, Councilmember King made a motion to adopt this Resolution. Councilmember Kelly seconded the motion which carried and the Resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine (9) ayes. RESOLUTION NO. 2719-99 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 234 SOUTH CHAPIN STREET AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF A TEN (10) YEAR REAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR SOUTH BEND HERITAGE FOUNDATION WHEREAS, a petition for real property tax abatement has been filed with the City Clerk for consideration by the Common council of the City of South Bend, Indiana requesting that the area commonly known as 234 South Chapin Street, South Bend, Indiana, and which is more particularly described as follows: THAT PART OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 11, TOWNSHIP 37 NORTH, RANGE 2 EAST, PORTAGE TOWNSHIP, CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA WHICH IS DESCRIBED AS: LOTS 11, 12, 13, AND 14 AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF "J. K. HUSTON'S SUBDIVISION OF BANK OUTLOT #72" BEING RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK #2 ON PAGE #27 IN THE RECORDS OF THE ST.
