REGULAR MEETING APRIL 12, 1999 calendar years from the date of adoption of the Declaratory Resolution by the Common Council. SECTION II. The Common Council hereby determines that the property owner is qualified for and is granted Real property tax deduction for a period of ten (10) years, and further determines that the petition complies with Chapter 2, Article 6, of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend and Indiana Code 6- 1.1 -12 et sea. SECTION III. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the Common council and approved by the Mayor. s /Sean Coleman Member of the Common Council Councilmember Kelly reported that the�Community and Economic Development Committee met on these bills and recommends these Resolutions to the Council favorably. Councilmember Kelly also noted that there are amendments to both bills to indicate that they are ten (10) year tax abatements and he so moved to accept the amended versions of these bills. Councilmember King seconded the motion which carried, and the Resolutions were amended in the title and in Section II. to indicate that they are ten (10) year tax abatements and not six (6) years. Mr. Frank Perri, Director of Development, The Holladay Group, 227 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, made the presentation for these two (2) Resolutions. Mr. Perri informed the Council that he is pleased to announce that these projects, totaling more than 162,000 square feet, are fifty per cent (50 %) pre - leased and it anticipated that they will have one hundred thirty (13 0) to one hundred fifty (15 0) people on the site in full employment. He noted that they are moving fast to completion in early summer. There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in opposition to this Resolution, Councilmember King made a motion for the adoption of Resolution No. 2724- 99 as amended. Councilmember Kelly seconded the motion which carried and the Resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine (9) ayes. Additionally, Councilmember Kelly made a motion for the adoption of Resolution No. 2725 -99 as amended. Councilmember King seconded the motion which carried and the Resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine (9) ayes. Councilmember Hosinski made a motion to refer this bill to the Area Plan Commission. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried.
