ARTICLE II <br />PURPOSES <br />A. Educational and _Charitable Purposes_. To employ the corporate organization <br />of the Foundation solely for the educational and charitable purposes including the <br />advancement of knowledge in the State of Indiana pertaining to historical and archi- <br />tecturally significant sites and structures and in furtherance of such educational and <br />charitable purposes to own, preserve, redevelop, improve, renovate, and maintain <br />sites and structures of historical, architectural, educational, and cultural signifi- <br />cance within St. Tos 2h County, Indiana (such area being hereinafter referred to as <br />the "Foundation Area") . <br />B. Ascertainment of Historical Structures and Sites. To employ the corporate <br />organization in furtherance of its educational purpose by locating, marking and <br />spreading knowledge concerning sites and structures of historical, architectural, and <br />cultural significance within the Foundation Area. <br />C. Collection and Dissemination of Educational Information. To employ the <br />corporate organization of the Foundation in futherance of its educational purpose by <br />collecting writings, materials, relics, and memorabilia of educational significance <br />and pertaining to historically and architecturally significant sites and structures <br />within the Foundation Area and to disseminate information relative thereto in advance- <br />ment of education in the Foundation Area and for better education of the general public. <br />D. Cooperation With Other Grow s . To employ the corporate organization of <br />the Foundation in furtherance of its educational and charitable purposes by coopera- <br />ting with and assisting the United States of America, the State of Indiana, St. <br />Joseph County, and the City of South Bend, and the various commissions, govern- <br />
