EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />The Objective <br />The City of South Bend Police Department is in need of two properly licensed towing companies <br />to provide twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week service for the recovery, removal, towing, and <br />storage impoundment of certain motor vehicles within the City of South Bend. Additionally, the city <br />has deemed the need for a secure storage facility within five miles of the City of South Bend, and that <br />the towing entities named will provide all billing services for vehicles removed and/or stored. <br />The Goals <br />The City of South Bend Police Department is in need of two properly licensed towing companies to <br />provide twenty-four hour a day, seven days a week service for the recovery, removal, towing, and <br />storage impoundment of certain motor vehicles within the city. <br />The goals are: <br />• Two properly licensed towing companies to provide twenty-four hours a day, seven days <br />a week recovery, removal and storage services. <br />• Two companies that shall maintain and have exclusive control of three recovery vehicles <br />that are DOT registered. <br />• Storage facilities that are within five miles of South Bend City limits, that are both secure <br />and operate a minimum of 6 days per week. <br />• Proper billing, storing, release of vehicles, and recording of charges for vehicle owners <br />and services provided. <br />• Fair and just cost for vehicle owners and indemnity of the City of South Bend for any <br />costs associated with the outlines of this proposal. <br />The Solution <br />ASAP Towing (hereinafter referred to as "ASAP/The Company' is fully licensed by the State of Indiana <br />and the City of South Bend to own, operate, and provide recovery, removal, towing and storage <br />services for the City of South Bend and the surrounding area. The company owns and operates <br />twenty-one (21) vehicles, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, that are capable of passenger <br />vehicle <br />
