REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 12, 2001 This being the time heretofore set for the Public Hearing on the above bill, proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in opposition to this bill, Councilmember Kelly made a motion for favorable recommendation to full Council concerning this bill. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. BILL NO. 105 -01 PUBLIC HEARING ON A BILL APPROPRIATING $130,000 WITHIN THE U.D.A.G. FUND (FUND 410) OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2002 BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2002 Councilmember Kelly reported that the Community and Economic Development Committee met on this bill and recommends it to the Council favorably. Ms. Beth Leonard, Director, Financial and Program Management, Community & Economic Development, 1200 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana, made the presentation for this bill. Ms. Leonard advised that this bill is part of the department's administrative budget and is still part of the revenues that they identified for the Council when they spoke in September. BILL NO. 106 -01 PUBLIC HEARING ON A BILL TRANSFERRING $409,457 AMONG VARIOUS ACCOUNTS WITHIN FUND 212 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Councilmember Kelly reported that the Community and Economic Development Committee met on this bill and recommends it to the Council favorably. Ms. Beth Leonard, Director, Financial and Program Management, Community & Economic Development, 1200 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana, made the presentation for this bill. Ms. Leonard advised that this bill is the companion to Bill No. 102 -01 which is the completion of the Community Development Block Grant Program for 2002. She noted that they reprogrammed funds from some projects from prior years that did not use all of their funding to the 2002 allocation.
