REGULAR MEETING APRIL 23, 2001 bindery equipment. This investment will enable them to meet the needs of current and new customers and will likely result in three (3) to four (4) new full time jobs representing an annual payroll of between one hundred fifty thousand ($150,000.00) dollars and two hundred thousand ($200,000.00) dollars. Mr. Belting further stated that Mossberg will retain its existing workforce of one hundred and thirty (130) full time positions representing an annual payroll of six million seven hundred fifty thousand ($6,750,000.00) dollars. A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in opposition to this Resolution, Councilmember Coleman made a motion to adopt this Resolution. Councilmember Kelly seconded the motion which carried and the Resolution was adopted by a roll call vote of nine (9) ayes. RESOLUTION NO. 2991 -01 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A DECLARATORY RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 13 8,701, AND 705 BROADWAY RESIDENTIALLY DISTRESSED AREAS FOR PURPOSES OF A FIVE(5)YEAR RESIDENTIAL REAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR CITY OF SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS, AND AMERICAN HOME DREAMS, INC. WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has adopted a Declaratory Resolution designating certain areas within the City as Residentially Distressed Areas for the purpose of tax abatement consideration; and WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designated the area commonly known as 138, 701, AND 705 Broadway, South Bend, Indiana, and which are more particularly described as follows: Street Address Legal Description Key Number 138 Broadway Lot 28A of American Home Dreams 18- 7025 -1042 3rd Replat 701 Boadway Lot 184A of American Home Dreams 18- 7016 -0633 4"' Replat 705 Broadway Lot 185A of American Home Dreams 18- 7016 -0635 4`h Replat as a Residentially Distressed Area; and WHEREAS, notice of the adoption of a Declaratory Resolution and the public hearing before the Council has been published pursuant to Indiana Code 6- 1.1- 12.1 -2.5; and WHEREAS, the Council held a public hearing for the purposes of hearing all remonstrances and objections from interested persons; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the qualifications for a residentially distressed area have been met. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: SECTION I. The Common Council hereby determines and finds that the petition for real property tax abatement and the Statement of Benefits form meet the requirements of Indiana Code 6 -1.1 -12.1 et sea., for tax abatement.
