REGULAR MEETING APRIL 22, 2002 <br />Councilmember King reported that the Community and Economic Development Committee held <br />a Public Hearing on this bill this afternoon and voted unanimously to send it to the full Council with <br />a favorable recommendation. <br />Mr. Thomas J. Hall, 1323 Fairfax Drive, 340 Columbia Place, South Bend, Indiana, as a partner <br />of the law firm of Tuesley & Hall and manager of SBL, made the presentation for this Resolution. <br />Mr. Hall requested the Council's favorable consideration. He noted that they are converting the <br />former South Bend Orthopedics building from a single user medical facility to a multiple tenant <br />professional office building with the renovation costs in the range of seven hundred thousand dollars <br />($700,000.00) which involves a significant increase in the occupancy costs of both firms. <br />A Public Hearing was held on the Resolution at this time. <br />There being no one present wishing to speak to the Council either in favor of or in opposition to this <br />Resolution, Councilmember Coleman made a motion to adopt this Resolution.
