Schneider <br />Property Owner: Stackhouse & St. Clair Holdings LLC <br />Landmark or District Designation: Chapin Park National <br />Register District / Chapin Park Local Historic District, Ordi- <br />nance #9575-05 <br />Rating: Significant/Notable <br />DESCRIPTION OF STRUCTURE/SITE: Two story irregular plan bungalow with stretcher bond dark brick <br />siding on first story and shingle siding on second story. 8/12 slope roof with wide eaves and brackets supporting <br />soffit with exposed rafter tails. Windows are 1/1 double hung. <br />ALTERATIONS: N/A <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: “Relocate house at 211 W. Marion to 402 W. Navarre. Work at new site to include: Removal of <br />asphalt, light standards, curbing and chain link fence (west side), new foundation, sidewalks, placement of house, new grade. See plans <br />attached. As additional COA will be submitted for proposed landscaping and any repair work to house following move.” <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: The applicant has requested approval to: <br />1. Remove asphalt, light standards, curbing and chain link fence at 402 West Navarre Street. <br />2. Dig and our new foundation and sidewalks at 402 West Navarre Street. <br />3. Relocate house at 211 West Marion Street to 402 West Navarre Street and place on new foundation. <br />4. Create new grade at 402 West Navarre. <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: See Standards and Guidelines: <br />Demolition and Deconstruction: Page 38; Moving a Structure: Page 39; New Construction: Pages 33-35; <br />Site Projects: Pages 22-24 <br />SITE VISIT REPORT: N/A <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: The house at 211 West Morion was in danger of demolition. Moving of the <br />structure is necessary to ensure its preservation. The structure will be moved into the Chapin Park Local Historic <br />District further protecting it.
