This resolution is to correct a Scrivener's Error made in Resolution No.
5031-23 made August 28, 2023, and in Resolution No. 5031-23 made June 26, 2023. In speaking
with the Legal Department, the solution found was to present a substitute bill. The tax abatement
was approved by Council in July; however, it incorrectly did not include all of the parcels that
should have been included in the abatement. In August, to resolve the oversight Council
considered and adopted a Scrivener's Error that added in those parcels. However, we realized
after the fact that the bill number and resolution number that were assigned to the August bill
were previously used and thus the bill has not been enacted. The presented resolution is the
carbon copy of the resolution that went in front of the Council in August.
Vice -President Niezgodski requests any questions to the petitioner from the council, seeing none.
Vice -President Niezgodski opens to the public for anyone wishing to speak in favor of
Resolution No. 24-01.
Clerk Tirado responds that there is no one online wishing to speak in favor of the resolution.
Vice -President Niezgodski opens to the public for anyone wishing to speak against Resolution
No. 24-01.
Clerk Tirado responds that there is no one online wishing to speak in against of the resolution.
Vice President Niezgodski closes the public hearing.
Vice -President Niezgodski now entertains a motion to call for passage of Resolution No. 24-01.
Councilmember Rachel Tomas Morgan made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 24-01, seconded
by Councilmember Lee.
