Upon removal of the <br />foundation slabs, the Contractor discovered buried construction debris (bricks, concrete, etc.) at <br />approximately half the locations. <br /> <br />In order for the site to be redeveloped in the near future, the debris must be removed from the <br />site and clean backfill brought in. The cost to remedy this unforeseen circumstance is $182,800: <br />-Remove and replace 6093.33 tons of debris with clean fill @ $30 per ton. <br /> <br />The only scope addition to the project was added tree removal at a cost of $5,000. All other <br />added expenses to this project were unforeseen circumstances. <br /> <br />The project remains on track to finish within budget, approximately 6-8 weeks behind the <br />originally anticipated completion date. <br />
