Make submittals required by the Contract Documents, and revise and resubmit as <br />necessary to establish compliance with the specified requirements, all as described in this <br />section. <br /> <br />B. Work Not Included: <br /> <br />1. The Contractor may require his subcontractors to provide drawings, setting <br />diagrams and similar information to help coordinate the Work, but such data <br />shall remain between the Contractor and his subcontractors and will not be <br />reviewed by the Engineer unless specifically called for within the Contract <br />Documents. <br /> <br />1.1 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> <br />1. Coordination of submittals: Prior to each submittal, carefully review and coordinate all <br />aspects of each item being submitted. Verify that each item in the submittal conforms in <br />all respects with the specified requirements. By affixing the Contractor's signature to <br />each submittal, certify that this coordination has been performed. <br /> <br />B. Review and approval of shop drawings by the Engineer is for general conformity to <br />design intent only. This review does not authorize changes to the contract sum or relieve <br />the Contractor in any way of his contract obligations. <br /> <br />1. Substitutions: When a material, product, or method is listed in the Specifications or on <br />the Drawings, it shall be considered the basis of design. Where "or equal" is indicated, <br />other products shall be considered acceptable provided that they meet the design intent <br />(as interpreted by the Engineer) and fit in the available space. Where "or approved <br />equal" is indicated, other products will be considered acceptable provided that they are <br />submitted to and approved by the Engineer. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.1 MANUFACTURER'S LITERATURE <br /> <br />A. Where contents of submitted literature from manufacturers include data not pertinent to <br />the submittal, clearly show which portions of the contents are being submitted for review. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.1 TIMING OF SUBMITTALS
