Commtttss .sport: <br /> Personnel and Finance Committee <br /> to Os Commou Couuttl of the Co of out WO: <br /> The October 23, 1995 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee was called <br /> to order at 3:50 P.M. in the Council informal meeting room, by Council Member Ann <br /> Puzzello in the absence of Council Member Steve Luecke,Chairperson. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Kelly, Coleman, Zakrzewski, <br /> Ladewski,and Puzzello;Larry Magliozzi, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Puzzello noted that the only item on the agenda was to review Bill <br /> No. 63-95 which would appropriate money for the Morris Civic. In light of the fact that <br /> there was not a presenter available it was recommended that the Committee recess and then <br /> reconvene immediately after Council Member Kelly's Community and Economic <br /> Development Committee.The Committee meeting was then recessed. <br /> The Personnel and Finance Committee was reconvened by Council Member Ann Puzzello <br /> at 4:20 P.M. Cleo Hickey made the presentation on Bill No. 63-95.Cleo Hickey noted that <br /> the monies are needed to do structural repairs to the facility.At this point Council Member <br /> Washington and Council Member Luecke joined the meeting. <br /> It was noted by Council Member Washington that there was special first reading on the Bill <br /> in light of the boiler repairs. Cleo Hickey noted that it is the exhaust venting system for the <br /> boilers that are actual in critical need of repair. <br /> In response to a question raised by Council Member Puzzello it was noted that there is an <br /> asbestos problem with regard to the insulation used around the piping however it will be <br /> addressed. In response to a question raised by Council President Ladewski it was noted <br /> that the City will be receiving $250, 000.00 of "Build Indiana Funds" for the Morris <br /> renovation project. Council Member Coleman noted that this is significant amount money <br /> for an important community project. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by Council <br /> President Ladewski, that Bill No. 63-95 be recommended favorably to Council.
