P <br /> ZONING AND VACATION COMMITTEE <br /> The October 25, 1993 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation <br /> Committee was called to order by its Chairperson Council <br /> Member Lee Slavinskas at 5:45p.m. in the Council and Formal <br /> meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance include Council Members Luecke, <br /> Washington, Kelly, Puzzello, Slavinskas, Zakrzewski, <br /> Coleman, Duda, and Ladewski; Larry Magliozzi, Georg <br /> Herendeen, Don Porter, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member, Slavinskas Slavinskas noted that the first item on the <br /> a g enda was to review Bill ll No. 84-93 which would vacate <br /> ' w <br /> property located on Tucker Drive just west of Kaley Street. <br /> Mr. George Herendeen, the Attorney for the petitioner, Steel <br /> Warehouse Company Inc. made the presentation. He noted that <br /> the overall purpose of the vacation was to allow the <br /> petitioner to continue to use the property as it has in the <br /> past. He then showed maps of the area and question to the <br /> Committee. Council Member Slavinskas noted that there was a <br /> resolution of the Board of Public Works dated in 1991 <br /> allowing the petitioner to use the area in question. <br /> Following further discussion Council Member Coleman made a <br /> motion, seconded by Council Member Puzzello, that Bill No. <br /> 84-93 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> I'I The Committee than reviewed Substitute Resolution No. 93-84 <br /> which is the written Fiscal plan and policy for an area in <br /> German Township "Shively-Demaegt Anaxation" Mr. Larry <br /> Magliozzi made the presentation. He noted that the area in <br /> question incorporates a new legal description and showed a <br /> map of the area to the Committee. He noted that the Water <br /> Commissioners, Waste Water Board, and Board of Public Works <br /> reviewed the new area and all voted in favor of the plan. <br /> Following further discussion Council Member Coleman made a <br /> motion, seconded by Council Member Washington, that <br /> Substitute Resolution No. 93-84 be recommended favorably to <br /> Council. The motion passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Substitute Bill No. 82-93 which <br /> is the Annexation Ordinance for the area east of Mayflower <br /> Road between Brick and Cleveland Roads in German Township <br /> commonly referred to as the Shively-Demaegt Anaxation. Mr. <br /> Magliozzi noted that the area in, question again has a new <br /> legal description consistent with the Fiscal plan just <br /> reviewed by the Committee. The area includes 140.9 acres <br />
