(?ommitt <br /> Following further discussion,Dr. Varner made a motion, seconded by Council Member <br /> Kelly that Substitute Bill No. 34-04 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Under miscellaneous business, Council Member Kirsits noted that two(2) South Bend <br /> Firefighters did training classes on WMD in April for the police department and have not been <br /> paid. He stated that it is like the Bermuda Triangle to get someone to address why payment has <br /> not been made. The firefighters think they have been abandoned by the city. <br /> Chief Fautz stated that he would look into this. <br /> Council Member Dieter inquired about the status of the police beat restructuring. Chief <br /> Fautz noted that it would be in less than three months. <br /> Mayor Luecke noted that the City Administration have prepared comments with regard to <br /> Bill 32-04 addressing various budgeting and reporting matters which they would like to share <br /> with the Council. <br /> Dr. Varner stated that a joint committee meeting will be held on Wednesday,June 2nd at <br /> 4 pm of the Personnel and Finance Committee and the Public Works and Property Vacation <br /> Committee. <br /> It was also noted that Ron Glon's mother passed away. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee,Council Member Dieter <br /> adjourned the meeting at 5:20 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Derek D.
