tontiuf tt g *port <br /> 2otnt fzttuy of tie tommunitv aub Otonontit 1 Iopm nt Commttt z an thi <br /> Iarkz, Z attou, Cultural Irtz an enttrtaGtitmiit tontaittte <br /> The December 9, 2002 joint meeting of the Community and Economic Development Committee <br /> and the Parks, Recreation, Cultural Arts and Entertainment Committee was called to order by <br /> Community and Economic Development Committee Chairperson, Council Member King at 4:17 <br /> p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Pfeifer, Kelly, King, Varner, <br /> Kuspa, White, Coleman and Kirsits; Community & Economic Development Department Director <br /> Jon Hunt, City Controller Rick 011ett, Ann Kolata, Water Superintendent John Stancati, Michael <br /> Beitzinger, Cathy Bruecker, Terry Bland of the ioutb its 1/trtbun , and Kathleen <br /> Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member King called for a presentation on Bill No. 100-02 which would redeem the 1992 <br /> South Bend Redevelopment Authority taxable lease/rental revenue bonds (Palais Royale); to <br /> appropriate $34,314.63 from Fund #328 for bond redemption purposes; to transfer$260,686.37 <br /> from Fund#328 to Fund#420(South Bend Central Development Area TIF);and to close Fund# <br /> 328 due to fulfillment of the fund's purpose. <br /> City Controller Rick 011ett made the presentation. He stated that the Administration wishes to retire <br /> the bonds on the Palais Royale building issued in 1992 on December 27, 2002. The appropriation <br /> request would be to redeem the bonds and Fund # 328 addressing the Palais Royale repayment <br /> could then be closed. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Aranowski made a motion, seconded by Dr. Varner that <br /> Bill No. 100-02 be recommended favorably to Council.
