has been to ignore official requirements and procedures, to continue to use the <br />property as a business depot, and to deliberately abuse the landmark building. <br />This series of actions by the owner appears to be a deliberate distruction of <br />a landmark property and a clear violation of the St. Joseph County Preservation <br />Ordinance. The Historic Preservation Commission is investigating legal action to <br />require the owner to repair, to the point of rebuilding if necessary, and <br />maintain this historic landmark according to the provisions of the ordinance. <br />
