South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting — October 25, 2012 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />A. Public Hearings <br />(15) continued... <br />Classified Manager of the Tri- County News, that the Notice of Hearing was published in <br />that newspaper on October 12, 2012. <br />Ms. Jones opened the public :hearing for whoever wished to speak regarding Resolution <br />No. 3088. There was no one who wished to speak. Ms. Jones closed the public hearing for <br />whatever action the Commission wished to take. <br />(16) Consideration of Resolution No. 3088. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 3088 appropriating monies for the purpose of <br />defraying the expenses of certain local public improvements for the fiscal year beginning <br />January 1, 2013 and ending December 31, 2013, including all outstanding claims and <br />obligations, fixing a time when the same shall take effect. (Fund 425, Redevelopment Retail <br />Operations) <br />(18) Public Hearing on Resolution No. 3089 determining to appropriate monies for the <br />purpose of defraying the expenses of certain local public improvements for the fiscal <br />year beginning January 1, 2013 and ending December 31, 2013, including all <br />outstanding claims and obligations, fixing a time when the same shall take effect. <br />(Fund 619, Blackthorn Golf Course Operations) <br />Ms. Leonard noted that the appropriation in Resolution No. 3089 contains the one <br />remaining debt service payment on the, golf course bond. The total appropriation is <br />$2,063,333. The Blackthorn Joint Committee met and approved this budget for 2013. <br />Mr. Inks noted that the public hearing file is complete, including: (1) A copy of the <br />Resolution No. 3089 setting the public hearing; (2) a copy of the Notice of Hearing; (3) an <br />affidavit from Kim Wilson, Publisher of the South Bend Tribune, that the Notice of Hearing <br />was published in that newspaper on October 12, 2012; (4) and an affidavit from Jason Jolly, <br />Classified Manager of the Tri- County News, that the Notice of Hearing was published in <br />that newspaper on October 12, 2012. <br />Ms. Jones opened the public hearing for whoever wished to speak regarding Resolution <br />No. 3089. There was no one who wished to speak. Ms. Jones closed the public hearing for <br />whatever action the Commission wished to take. <br />23 <br />
