He has over twenty <br />years of environmental project experience, During <br />that time, Mr. Stefanek has been involved in all <br />aspects of project implementation including technical <br />and /or project management services. Hr has <br />successfully completed numerous projects related to <br />remedial site investigations and oversight, multi- <br />phase environmental site assessments, asbestos <br />inspection, geotechnical site investigations, wetland <br />determinations and delineations, and underground <br />storage lank removal, assessments, and closures. In <br />addition, he has prepared several state - approved <br />wellhead protection plans for several municipalities. <br />Prior to joining Weaver Boos, Mr. Stefanek served as <br />a Project Manager for a Michigan -based regional <br />environmental consulting firm. <br />IMbgmaes=mhSwdh I nds SMranekdo <br />Select Project Experience <br />Mr. Stefanek has been responsible for managing the <br />environmental compliance aspects of thirty leaking <br />underground storage tank sites. He was responsible <br />for conducting the work necessary to remove the <br />tanks and, in the case of contamination, characterize <br />and delineate the extent of contamination, perform <br />feasibility analyses, and recommend a corrective <br />action. The implementation of risk -based corrective <br />action was implemented at many sites to achieve <br />closure or compliance. <br />Mr. Stefanek has provided environmental oversight <br />expertise in the demolition of several former heavy <br />industrial manufacturing buildings originally <br />occupied by an automotive manufacturer. This <br />expertise included the preparation of environmental <br />bid documents. <br />On behalf of a major food retail chain,1vfi% Stefanek <br />has been responsible since 1993 for the performance <br />of several multi phase environmental site <br />assessments and geotechnical soils investigations for <br />several properties located in Michigan, Ohio, Indiaaa, <br />and Illinois including a proposed distribution <br />warehouse near Lansing, Michigan, Services <br />included environmental remediation oversight <br />(removal of underground storage tanks, asbestos, <br />impacted soil, etc.) at several locations that were <br />formerly occupied by commercial /manufacturing <br />buildings which were demolished. <br />Mr. Stefanek also was responsible for the <br />implementation and completion of a hydrogeologic <br />study in Jackson, Michigan. The study was <br />completed as part of a proposed landfill expansion <br />for an owner of a Type III landfill. In addition, Mr. <br />Stefanek was also responsible for completing several <br />other activities necessary to acquire a construction <br />permit from the State of Michigan for the landfill. <br />These activities included the completion of an <br />endangered/throatened species survey, wetland <br />delineation /mitigation, and the preparation of a <br />hydrogeologic monitoring plan. <br />
