Custom Body and Equipment Co., Inc.Rev. 5/1/2011 <br />OPTIONAL AMBULANCEBODY CHANGEOVERPAINT WARRANTY <br />4-YEAR PAINT PERFORMANCE <br />WARRANTY <br />This optional warranty covers the above ambulance <br />body areas refinished with specified Akso-Nobel <br />products for a period of 4 years or 48,000 miles, <br />beginning the day the vehicle is delivered. This <br />coverage is afforded only after a complete body <br />repaint has been performed after stripping to bare <br />metal and all surfaces have been prepared per the <br />requirements of the paint manufacturer. <br />WARRANTY COVERS <br />The warranty for the PL / Sikkens Coating System is <br />4 years from the date vehicle is delivered. PL Custom <br />will warranty 100% of the labor and material repair <br />cost for the following defects: <br /> 1. Coating system Integrity, coating adhesion, and <br /> UV related degradation are covered 100% for <br /> the warranty period. <br /> 2. Gloss retention and color retention are covered. <br /> 3. Cracking or checking of the paint film is <br /> covered. <br /> 4. Delaminating from the substrate or intercoat is <br /> covered. <br />CLAIM PROCEDURE <br />Should a vehicle show evidence of a paint problem, <br />the owner should contact the Dealer/Salesperson. The <br />Dealer/Salesperson will contact PL Custom’s Technical <br />Service Manager to schedule an inspection. After the <br />inspection the vehicle owner will be contacted. No <br />repairs will be authorized without an inspection or <br />estimate in advance. PL Custom Emergency Vehicles <br />assumes no responsibility for special, incidental or <br />consequential damages including but not limited to <br />lost time, inconvenience, and loss of profits which are <br />not recoverable expenses. <br />2-YEAR CREVICE CORROSION/ <br />DISSIMILAR METALS WARRANTY <br />As evidence of our commitment to quality and <br />customer satisfaction, PL Custom is proud to offer <br />our customers this optional 2-Year Crevice Corrosion/ <br />Dissimilar Metals Warranty. This warranty covers your <br />vehicle for a period of up to 2 years or 24,000 miles <br />against Crevice Corrosion and Dissimilar Metals <br />Corrosion as described below. <br />WARRANTY COVERS <br /> 1. For the first 2 years or 24,000 miles, your vehicle <br />will be covered 100% by our Crevice Corrosion/ <br />Dissimilar Metals Corrosion Warranty for all <br />vehicles ordered after June 1, 2013. <br />Electrolysis is defined as two or more dissimilar <br />metals reacting against each other causing electrolysis. <br />The resulting corrosion may cause paint to lift or <br />blister. Our industry has battled this problem for many <br />years. To assist in the management of electrolysis, your <br />new PL Custom ambulance comes standard with a <br />protective coating of ECK applied to all surfaces where <br />dissimilar metals can make contact. This includes, but <br />is not limited to exterior hinges, light mounting screws <br />and any and all hardware attachment points where <br />dissimilar metals can, or will, come in contact. <br />This protective coating is manufactured and designed <br />to reduce and control the natural process of galvanic <br />corrosion (electrolysis). Should it become necessary <br />for removal, replacement or repair on any exterior <br />area of your vehicle where ECK has been applied, it <br />must be recoated with ECK to preserve its protective <br />properties. Failure to properly reapply ECK may void <br />this warranty. <br />PL Custom reserves the right to change alter or modify its warranty policy as deemed necessary without prior notice. <br />Warranty start date is effective as of the delivery date of the unit.
