CITY OF SOUTH BEND OFFICE OF THE CLERK <br /> Councilmember Karen L. White inquired about the proposed timing of that educational piece, to <br /> which Councilmember Teshka replied to by speaking to his relationship with the City's Office of <br /> Sustainability. Councilmember Teshka assured the Committee that Sustainability Director Therese <br /> Dorau is dovetailing this with the Office's implementation with the City's Climate Action Plan. <br /> There was then informal discussion had regarding the enforcement element of the hypothetical <br /> future ordinance regarding this matter. <br /> Councilmember Lori K. Hamann noted that she had requested a restrictive element to City's <br /> function planning petitions and permits. <br /> Councilmember Henry Davis Jr. spoke to the larger issue of litter and trash in the community and <br /> his hope is to elevate the conversation to that topic in the future meetings of the Council. He also <br /> inquired about the enforcement piece to litter and trash. <br /> Committee Chair Warner then opened the floor to members of the public wishing to speak in favor <br /> of or in opposition to this legislation. There were none. <br /> Committeemember Tomas Morgan made a motion to send Bill No. 20-03 to the full Council with <br /> a favorable recommendation.
