C01 STRUCTION METHODS <br />The proposed restoration will be similar to the facade restorations completed in 2017 by the <br />same contractor, Millwood Construction. The existing aluminum siding will be removed, the origi- <br />nal clapboards and existing wood details salvaged where possible, and new western red cedar will be <br />replaced in all locations as necessary. The contractor will restore the existing column drums (six large <br />and four small) and their bases, and reconstruct where necessary. All ten capitals will be replaced, and <br />will be manufactured by Chadsworth Columns (see attached documentation). The pilasters will be re- <br />stored as indicated in the attached drawing to match the restoration completed in 2017 (please see the <br />images below to reference the restoration of the east, north and west facades). The roof, gutters and <br />downspouts will be replaced as well and the cornice restored (please see the documentation included <br />for the Ecostar synthetic slate shingle proposed). <br />129 W North Shwre give during restoration of east, north and west elevations. <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
