The roof has a high hip with hip <br />roof dormers covered in asphalt shingles. The front porch is enclosed on the east and open on the west <br />side. The windows are 1/1 double hung with wood surrounds. <br />ALTERATIONS: The attic windows are replacements with COA 2005-011813. A mudroom was added <br />to the rear of the home with COA 2006-0627. The roof is a replacement. COA 2016-0726 approved <br />removal and replacement of an Ash tree, installation of an inground swimming pool, replacing patio and <br />extending around pool, new siding and roof on garage and extending roof of garage .6' to create a covered <br />patio, installation of retaining wall in front yard, installation of two Craftsman -style porch lights and low - <br />profile motion -detected security lights for driveway, and installation of -architectural shingles on house <br />roof. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: Extend existing driveway 20 ft. to the end of the house — will not enter the <br />backyard. Move fence back to original position. BUILDING SITE, LANDSCAPING AND ACCESSORIES <br />Individual properties in the district are characterized by a house located in the center of a flat lawn, often divided by <br />a walk leading to the front entrance. Several of the residences are sited on two or more building lots; however, the <br />preponderance of the homes have been erected on a single lot. Most of the properties include a double garage, <br />usually located at the rear of the property. The majority of garages are accessed from straight driveways <br />leading from the main thoroughfare, while a few are accessed from the alley. There are also a few homes with <br />a covered carport located at the rear of the property, as well as a few with circular driveways. Driveway and <br />sidewalk materials include concrete, asphalt and brick. All of the properties have trees and most have trimmed <br />shrubbery and/or hedges.
