Our web page — <br />wtv%,v.indianalandtiiarks.orp- -- contains more information about our organization and our current <br />antl past efforts. <br />We recognize that the South Bend Community School Corporation has a number of priorities <br />appropriately focused on the education of the children in South Bend. Because of that, the future <br />of the Marquette School building may not be front and center. We wish to assist in finding a <br />solution for the property to turn a negative for both the South Bend Community School <br />Corporation and those seeking its preservation into a positive for both. We are hopeful that a <br />collaborative, team approach to explore options moving forward will result in a positive outcome <br />for all interested in. this site. <br />Let nie close by noting that we enter this conversation not with the expectation that the South <br />Bend Cotmmunity School Corporation will be asked to undertake or fund the renovation or <br />repurposing of the building. Our working idea, unless the team identifies a more viable path, is to <br />identify a developer who tnay be interested in a project on the site — perhaps for senior housing <br />or other suitable use.
