Pa -0c I of 2
Catherine Hostetler - Re: 230 E. Navarre
From: Jerid Wireman <justjcridl890@yalioo.com>
TO: Catherine Hostetler <CI-IOS'FET.L.Ct,.co.st-josepli.in.tls>
Date: 7/7,12013 7:54 AM
Subject: Re: 23013. Navarre
CC: "beckamousc@aol.coni" <bcckamousk@,aol.coIll>
Hi Catherine,
I propose to put wood or vinyl storm windows on the home. I left the brochure sitting on my kitchen
counter and am back in New York, to pick up my dogs and drive back with them. I plan oil replacing The
storm windows in fall as I didn't see them to be on the code violation list. As far as the additon goes, I
ant sending some pictures regarding the windows in the addition and the windows missing in tile
addition, The windows are medal and in, tough condition. I would like to replace them with pane glass
windows that are divided (double hung) wood just as is oil the rest of the home (pane glass oil top and
solid glass oil bottom. The pictures I am sending you are fabled #1 and #2 that show ]low windows are
covered up in the addition. The door, missing door and deck oil the rear of the horse are pictures fabled
#3 all(] t#4. One picture (113) is from the interior of the home where vott can see the stairs leading up to
the; second level. At the first landing is the door. This door is the missing door to the boarded tip door
that is labled #4. The deck on the back should not be there as it was built to accommodate the door that
is too high in the air (see picture 45). The home at one time was inade into apartments and that is why
the deck was placed on the back so the upstairs renters could enter from there. As you see the boarded
tip door only gives access to the lower level and basement. This is the original back entry. I havealso
selected new garage doors. They will be either wood or vinyl depending oil the house being painted or
vinyl sided. The doors I believe will tic the house in more with the garage as at the top of the two doors
is pane glass windows. The storm windows too will either be vinyl"o;'r wood depending on the house
being painted or vinyl sided. I believe I gave Becky the brochure for the garage doors. I also have a
brochure for the storm doors that Becky will be dropping off at your office on Monday morning.
As far as the siding on the home goes, I hate it to say the least. I would like to tare it offand don't
understand the need to get permission to tare offaluminum siding that will then have to be replaced I)y
either painting or vinyl siding the home determined upon proper I Ilsl)ec ti ons.' 1. spoke with the
Anderson's this weekend and several other neighbors and they were quite pleasant with me. Mr.
Anderson had me look at a tree that is on each of our property line that obViOLISIV needs cut down
(picture labled 1116). 1 told him I have a meeting with Historic Preservation Commission oil July 15 and I
would see what I could do about the tree.
Also, for the front stoop restoration I am in need of sorne bricks that will match the foundation on the
home. Any ideas where to obtain them*?
Thanks Much,
Jcrid Wirenian
From: Catherine Hostetler <CHOSTETL@co.st-josephJn.us>
To: justjeridl890@yahoo.com
Sent: Wednesday, July 3, 2013 4:58 PM
Subject: 230 E.
