Assistant Director's Report <br />HPC Meeting —06/15/09 <br />> Canceled May Hands on Homeowner, finalized plans for July event at <br />Howard Park General Store. Made flier. Preparing press release. <br />> Was notified that the HPC won a Historic Preservation Education Grant <br />through the Indiana Humanities CounciVHLFI. The grant amount is <br />$2000.00 — their maximum award. <br />> Worked on completion of NR Nomination for City Cemetery. Including: <br />Organizing photos, per NR instructions. <br />Collaborating with MACOG to create USGS 7.5 min map <br />Completed writing the narrative. <br />Will be distributed to HPC at July meeting. <br />> Wrote two staff reports for June meeting. <br />> Prepared minutes and C of As'frorn May meeting. <br />> Reviewed State Theatre auction information. <br />> Spoke with colleagues in Michigan regarding Regional History Day. <br />> Created flier for synagogue program on 6/16. <br />> Spoke with NPI regarding September cemetery program. <br />> Assisted Paul Hayden with information for owners of the W Washington <br />Tour of Homes sites. <br />> Assisted Studebaker curator Andy Beckman with research on Studebaker <br />Foundry site later Pulaski Park. <br />> Prepared Lincoln Hwy presentation for Lincoln Hwy National Conference <br />in South Bend June 15-19. <br />45 minute presentation, power point, utilizing our laptop and <br />projector. <br />
