Director's Report <br />April, 2009 <br />March 17 Meeting with Botanical Society President, Martha Lewis concerning <br />BSSB take over of the operation of the Conservatories in April. Attended Rotary Board <br />Meeting gave the Foundation Director's Report and received the input from the Band <br />Shell Committee for Potawatomi Park. On site visitation of 305 S. Eddy as potential <br />Local Landmark. <br />March 18 Toured 701 West North Shore with Jeff Dierbeck and Wayne Doolittle <br />and reviewed proposed work and methods of the exterior restoration project for the three <br />storey porch. <br />March 19 Attended the CCPR meeting for the removal of the old 2000 County <br />Surveys from Inventory.- Minutes -of HP-C- meeting _e - mailed -to_Commissioners A ttended <br />BSSB Executive Committee meeting. <br />March 20 Attended and responded to the Redevelopment Commissions agenda item <br />on the Hansel Center. Hansel Center is on the National Register and will become a part <br />of NDU as an Hispanic Cultural Resource Center. <br />March 23 Reviewed historic Bridge suggestions. <br />March 24 Met with Doug Weise, Field Supervisor, State Board of Accounts <br />concerning accurate wording for the newest Ordinance for the Assistant Director's pay. <br />March 25 Worked on requested additional budget cuts. Brought exception to County <br />Commissioners, Auditor's and President Rafael Morton of the County Council <br />concerning discrepancy in HPC figures and the unusually large cut requested from HPC <br />Budget. HPC cut was reduced from $5000.00 to $3000.00 <br />March 26 Continued work on Budget cuts due on March 27. Referred comments on <br />historic bridges to Jessica Clark, PE for her opinion. Completed Minutes of BSSB <br />meeting and submitted to Committee. <br />March 30 De- Briefing on the "In- Service" with HLFI at HPC. <br />April 1 Met with Mr. Patrick Lyden on the purchase of 723 Park, Hodson's Castle <br />and the needed COAs. Began contacting residents of LHD of River Bend and North St. <br />Joseph for interested parties to meet with Sue Solmos- Residential Marketing Specialist - <br />Econ. Development. <br />April 2 Photographed 803 W. Washington for Easement letter; photographed and <br />met with homeowner of potential landmark at 113 Laurel. Attended the Executive <br />Committee meeting BSSB. <br />
