The house is rated <br />Notable in the recent South Bend City Survey and is known the Smogor House after the <br />led its <br />owner and possible builder of the house. It is located in <br />the West Washington National Register District. <br />This house proper is basically unaltered and has its original clapboards, trim, windows <br />and doors. Its exterior has been re-conditioned and re-painted. There are alterations in <br />the rear of the home: the second storey sleep porch and the rear porch have been <br />enclose - of thuWplacernent-b-alustrad", long-the-front-porch by-Paul -Haydell <br />around 1979 does not replicate the original but does compliment the craftsman features <br />found in the exterior and interior of the home. The lattice work around the front of the <br />porch appears to be it replica of the original Avood lattice <br />The Snio-or I louse is a fairly pristine example of the Queen Annei'Free Classic ' <br />architectural style with modifications to the southWestem rear of the structure.
