Assistant Director's Report <br />HPC Meeting — 09-17-2007 <br />■ Conferred with Paul Phelps regarding St. Paul's Memorial Methodist Church <br />windows upon his return visit to SB. Will be introducing Paul to Krupali and her <br />class via email. <br />■ Created, edited and mailed Fall newsletter. <br />■ Issued Six at Risks List. <br />■ Prepared Six at Risks media alert, was interviewed by M. Fosmoe and WSBT for <br />stories on Fat Daddy's/Six at Risky. <br />■ Visited Glorious George nominees, photographed lawns, and deliberated on the <br />winners. <br />■ Created and mailed out 1't annual Glorious George awards. <br />■ Met with and toured South Bend Parkas with Kurt Culbertson of Aspen. Later <br />that evening, hosted our City Celebration event at the library. Approximately <br />25-30 in attendance. <br />■ Conducted visual inspection of Fat Daddy's block:, and introduced myself to <br />business owner, Elaine Gendel. <br />■ Finalized plans for David Duvall's presentation on 9/26. <br />■ Provided photo/information to Indiana Preservationist magazine for statement <br />on Marquette. <br />■ Attended Redevelopment Commission Meeting. <br />■ Attended Monroe Parks Neighborhood meeting. <br />■ Spent many hours editing City Survey. <br />■ Attended Special Meeting regarding NNN C of A applications. <br />■ Conferred with DAR regarding Schuyler Colfax monument at City Cemetery. <br />■ Identified consultants for assistance with City Cemetery conservation, requested <br />permission to apply for Cornelius O'Brien grant, and subsequently applied to <br />bring Chicora Foundation to SB for on-site assessment and consultation <br />regarding cemetery conservation. <br />■ Received invitation to volunteer at National Trust conference in St. Paul MN. <br />
