The Roundup will be held in Fort Wayne at the <br />Main Branch of the Allen County Public Library on Saturday, May 12, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to <br />4:00 p.m. EDT. This event is being hosted locally by ARCH, Inc., the City of Fort Wayne <br />Department of Community Development and Historic Preservation Commission, the_ West Central <br />Neighborhood Association, and The History Center. <br />The Roundup is a free and informal event open to anyone interested in local history and: the <br />preservation of historic resources for future generations to use and enjoy. It is intended to help <br />local preservationists make connections with each other and the State Historic Preservation Office <br />for the common cause of preserving local landmarks and heritage. Participants will have the <br />chance to learn about the DHPA's programs, give brief presentations about their organizations' <br />successes, challenges, and activities, and network with colleagues. Lunch and afternoon <br />refreshments will be provided. <br />Enclosed is a flyer about the event and a tentative schedule of the day's activities. After the <br />informational session and lunch, there will be a tour of local preservation highlights, followed by <br />refreshments and an opportunity to network with other participants. If you cannot attend, please <br />pass this flyer on to someone else who might be interested.
