The site and structure fulfills criteria #1 as an excellent example of the Queen Anne style <br />of architecture, which was very popular in this area during the late 1800s and early <br />1900s. The structure_ is rated an S/11 in the Indiana Historic Sites and Structures <br />Inventory. <br />The site and structure fulfills criteria #2 by the integrity of its original construction with <br />virtually no changes. The house under went extensive restoration after the 1979 survey, <br />which returned it to its original Queen Anne splendor. <br />The site and structure fulfills criteria #3 with its association with the Domkes and the <br />Cordtz's, two hardworking families that exemplify the working class citizen of South <br />Bend in the early 1900's. <br />3 <br />
