VI. Old Business <br />Mr. Oxian stated that he wanted to increase the rating of 911 Golden from C/9 to S /11 to make <br />it elligable for landmark status. Mrs. Hostetler moved to up grade the rating of 911 Golden. <br />Mr. Fine seconded the motion. The motion passed uananimously. Mr. Talley asked that the <br />Commission give a rating to the Angela Street Bridge which is currently not rated. Mr. Oxian <br />stated that rating of the bridge should be made a part of Aprils meeting. <br />Mr. Oxian stated that a meeting was held concerning the East Wayne Street lighting project, as <br />a result the project has begun. He further stated that the bids were given out and that the poles <br />would be ten feet tall made of concrete aggrigate with duplication of the existing lanterns. Mr. <br />Oxian noted that the lights finally decided upon along Lincolnway East would be fourteen feet <br />tall with fluted fiber glass poles and octagonal lanterns. Mr. Oxian asked Mr. Talley what light <br />style was finally decided for East Jefferson. Mr. Talley stated that the engineering department <br />had pre- ordered 70 watt bulbs and grey concrete poles. Mr. Oxian stated that seven of the <br />original poles would remain in the East Wayne Street District while the others would be placed <br />in storage or used elsewhere in the City.. <br />V. New Business <br />1. First Reading of Proposed Local Landmarks <br />Mr. Oxian stated that the first reading of 1240 W. Thomas and 1253 Diamond would be moved <br />to the April meeting and that the first reading for 120 W. LaSalle would be moved to June. Mr. <br />Oxian asked if the staff had received any response concerning the landmarking of 120 W. <br />LaSalle from its owners. Mr. Talley stated that he was not aware of any such response. <br />VI. Hearing of Visitors <br />None. <br />VII. Announcements and Miscellaneous. <br />Mr. Fine reported that two houses along East LaSalle and Eddy Street, across from the South <br />Bend Clinic were torn down. <br />VIII.
