Mr. Oxian made a motion to accept the report <br />and to hold first reading on the amendment to the ordinance; <br />Mrs. Choitz seconded; motion passed. <br />4) (52060) Quince Road - Report <br />Ms. Straw gave a report on (52060) Quince Road (see Appendix <br />C). Mr. Oxian made a motion to refer possible landmark <br />designation to the Landmark Committee; Mrs. Choitz seconded; <br />motion passed; Mr. Hayes voted nay. <br />d. Legal <br />Mr. Nimtz read the minutes from the October 14 Legal Committee <br />(see Appendix D). Ms. Kiemnec reported on the Certified Local <br />Government Program. She asked permission to pursue funding which <br />is available for CLG Program and to have the final draft of the <br />grant, which is due November 15, reviewed by the Executive <br />Committee. Mr. Nimtz so moved; Mr. Hayes seconded; motion passed. <br />e. Public Relations & Community Education <br />• Ms. Kiemnec distributed copies of the Historic District Brochure. <br />She also requested permission to pursue funding for a downtown <br />brochure which will include buildings in the Multiple Resource <br />Area and public art and sculpture. Mr. Nimtz so moved; Mr. Hayes <br />seconded; motion passed. <br />• <br />f. Environmental Impact Statement <br />1) 815 Arch <br />Ms. Kiemnec reported that a Certificate of Appropriateness had <br />been issued for 815 Arch for two new casement windows in the <br />second floor dormer. <br />2) 60717 Locust <br />The owner of 60717 Locust Road, Mrs. Margaret Wickizer, <br />requested permission to have the two piers at the end of the <br />driveway of her landmark house rebuilt. Mr. Oxian made a <br />motion that the Commission recommend the rebuilding of both <br />piers. They required that the mortar be matched to that of <br />the house; the mortar be a soft mortar according to a formula <br />indicated by the Commission; the piers be cleaned with a mild <br />solution with no acid content; that no sealer be used; and <br />that the joints be well sealed but not raked.
