They all come but they are a little uneasy. They a little bit fidgety. They try not show it, but it's there. I found out : thing, though, and I think I know : reason why. Women drug iresentatives seem to be a little more home. But the reason I think that, not because they are not afraid, it's pause, as you know, it's a highly petitive business. Women are new to ! field. They have to make their eta. So in order to make their quota, get you to write prescriptions to ve their drugs, they just won't show :ir fear. And the reason I'm enthused about this Ccmprehensive Program is for three reasons. First, it's workable. Second, it 's plausible. It's not in concrete. You can adjust it. And third, which is a major thing, it attacks crime. There e been other plans in the neighborhood, but the reason why they 'd not succeed was because they didn't attack the main issue, which is crime. rff.at's why it's going to start on Washington Street. There's rumor that to build houses up there, you make other ghetto. But all remember the late Jesse Dickinson. He managed the houses and projects on Western Avenue. He swore that that was not going to be another ghetto. He introduced so many pE le over there to the mop, the pail, lawnmower, and gave them a course in hc w to use them. And you either used th mu, or you got out. And anyone who, baJk in the fifties and sixties, can go by Chapin Street now and that's a far from what they had when I came in 1953. And with this program the same can happen. This program can be asset to the cm mnity. One thing -29-
