8. Revise the Report and any other deliverables in response to Owner's comments, as <br />appropriate, and furnish five 5 copies of the revised Report and any other deliverables to <br />the Owner within 14 calendar days of receipt of Owner's comments. <br />9. Engineer shall produce three (3) schematic presentation renderings and assist Owner with <br />conducting one (1) open house/public meeting. <br />B. Engineer's services under the Schematic Design Phase will be considered complete on the date <br />when the revised recommendation and any other deliverables have been delivered to Owner. <br />A1.02 Preliminary Design Phase <br />A. After acceptance by Owner of the recommendation and any other deliverables, selection by Owner <br />of a recommended solution and indication of any specific modifications or changes in the scope, <br />extent, character, or design requirements of the Project desired by Owner, and upon written <br />authorization from Owner, Engineer shall: <br />1. Prepare Preliminary Design Phase documents consisting of final design criteria, preliminary <br />drawings, outline specifications, and written descriptions of the Project. <br />2. Provide necessary field surveys, topographic surveys, geotechnical investigation and utility <br />mapping for design purposes. Utility mapping will be based upon information obtained <br />from utility owners. <br />3. Provide an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance field check to ensure which <br />existing pedestrian facilities achieve the current desing guidelines. <br />4. Provide geotechnical investigation services to provide evaluation of subsurface conditions <br />and assess the impacts of these conditions on the proposed construction. Investigation shall <br />include up to 8 pavement cores with exploratory test borings to a depth of 15 feet at each <br />location. Appropriate laboratory testing will be performed consistent with INDOT <br />requirements including visual soil classification, hand penetrometer readings, moisture <br />content, grain size analysis, Atterberg limit determinations, unit density, unconfined <br />compression, and infiltration/percolation analysis. <br />5. Engineer will coordinate with Owner personnel to evaluate the condition of the sanitary <br />sewers and water mains throughout the project lmits. <br />6. Provide storm water drainage design in order to convey storm water runoff from the site <br />from the 10-year storm design event. Storm water drainage will will include, but is not <br />limited to, the introduction of bump outs, curb turn outs, infiltration basins, and other green <br />infrastructure alternatives. <br />7. Provide utility coordination services. Engineer will identify public and private utilities <br />wihin the project limits beginning with the 60% Preliminary Design Submittal plans. <br />Engineer will facilitate communication with individual utility representatives to verify <br />horizontal and vertical locations of the facilities, as well as relocation of those facilities, if <br />necessary. <br />Page 2 <br />(Exhibit A — Engineer's Services) <br />EJCDC E-500 Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services <br />Copyright CO 2008 National Society of Professional Engineers for EJCDC.
