is a problem in changing the next meeting date.
Mr. Wiggins: As a Commission we ought to authorize the attendance of staff
that can attend and cover the fees for their attendance I would include
the members of the Commission along with the staff.
Chair: Can we get along without you (Mr. Brownell) on the 28th?
Mr. Cira suggested that we change the date to Thursday, April 20th.
Mr. Wiggins then restated his motion that the regular meeting be changed
to Thursday, April 20th at 10:00 A.M. and that the members of the Commission
and staff that desire to attend this seminar be authorized to do so and
their registration fee be paid. Motion was seconded by Mr. Cira and carried.
Mr. Ni tz: John, I don't know whether you know this or not but Mr. Carl
Westmoreland from Cincinnati is being brought here by Southhold Historic
Preservation Commission and Southhold Heritage Foundation on this neighbor-
hood thing during Historic Preservation Week. He will be here to speak to
Rotary and I think he will be here for the entire day. He apparently is
nationally recognized on this neighborhood thing that you and Don were
talking about.
Mr. Kagel: I am not a Rotarian but I would be very happy to go as a guest
of a Rotarian.
Mr. Brownell: I will be glad to invite Mr. Nimtz and Mr. Kagel..anyone else
on the Commission who wants to attend. The date on that is the 10th of May.
Mr. K gel: We found in Cincinnati that it is a very conservative community,
and they have magnificent neighborhood activities going on downtown, which
is the heart of the thing, and they they spread out into the community.
Isn't that right Mr. Wiggins?
Mr. Brownell: We have been very fortunate because Real Estate Research has
been very active there - and they do consulting work for us.
8. NEXT IMEETING
As established in the previous discussion, the next regular meeting of the
Redevelopment Commission has been re- scheduled to Thursday, April 20, 1978
at 10:00 a.m. in the office of the Redevelopment Department, 1200 County
City Building.
9. ADJOURNMENT
TherE
adj oL
carri
being no further business to come before the Commission, meeting was
rned at 10:37 on motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Cira and
ed.
- 11 -
