ORDINANCE NO. 51:W46 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE, AND ESTABLISHING AN HISTORIC <br /> LANDMARK FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT LEEPER PARK, IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br /> INDIANA <br /> Whereas, The Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph <br /> County has petitioned for the designation of the following described real <br /> estate as an Historic Landmark under the Ordinance No. 5565-73, as amended to <br /> wit: <br /> Beginning at the northeast corner of lot #9 in Mary E. <br /> Anderson's Sub. being at the south bank of the St. Joseph <br /> River, proceed southwesterly 200' along the east <br /> property-line of said lot to the north line of Riverside <br /> Drive, thence southwesterly across Riverside Drive to the <br /> northeast corner of lot #8 in Mary E. Anderson's Sub. , thence <br /> southerly along said line 508.7' , thence south by <br /> southeasterly 61' , thence southeasterly to the north line of <br /> lot #3 of Anderson, Dushane & Putnam's Sub. , thence easterly <br /> along said line to the northeast corner of lot # 6 of <br /> Anderson, Dushane & Putnam Sub. at the west line of Lafayette <br /> Boulevard, thence northerly along said line 453.4' to the <br /> south line of Park Lane, thence easterly along said line to <br /> the east line of Michigan Street, thence southerly along said <br /> line to the north line of Bartlett Street, thence easterly <br /> along said line 247.5' , thence southerly 66' to the south <br /> line of said street, thence easterly along said line to a <br /> point due east of said line at the west bank of the St. <br /> Joseph River, thence following the meandering downstream <br /> along the bank of the main channel of said river to the place <br /> of beginning. <br /> Whereas, The Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph <br /> County has recommended the designation of the PROPERTY as an historic <br /> landmark. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br /> SECTION 1. That the above described PROPERTY be, and it is here designated and <br /> established as an Historic Landmark under Ordinance No. 5565-73, as amended. <br /> SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br /> after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor and its <br /> publication. <br />
